On May 15, Moscow Metro will mark its 90th anniversary, highlighting its remarkable growth and development over nearly a century. The city's first metro line, launched in 1935, spanned 11.2 kilometers and included 13 stations, serving 177,000 daily passengers.

Today, Moscow Metro has grown to include over 550 kilometers of lines and 302 stations, including the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), with daily ridership exceeding 8.2 million trips.

Under the leadership of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the metro has undergone unprecedented development over the past 15 years:
- More than half of the existing lines have been extended.
