In the framework of the 350th anniversary of the birth of the Russian Emperor Peter I, a thematic train was launched in the Moscow Metro, said the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport.

 

 

Today we launched a new thematic train - it tells about the amazing life of Peter I. You will see rare portraits of the Emperor and read interesting facts about his biography, - said in the message. The Moscow Department of Transport noted that all materials were prepared by the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO).

 

The Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin instructed to develop transport as a service - so that passengers could not only move quickly around the city, that their trips were convenient and interesting. Today, together with the Russian Military Historical Society, on Line 3 of the Moscow Metro we have launched a train dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I. Now you can learn more about the life and deeds of the Emperor during your trip. In total, we have launched 14 thematic trains together with the RVIO, - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

 

 

It is specified that the thematic Rusich train will be launched on a Line 3 of the Moscow Metro for six months.

The taxi industry in Moscow is one of the largest and most developed. On a working day in May, Moscow taxis have transported an average of more than 1 million 600 thousand passengers.

At the same time, back in 2010, there were only about 5-7,5 thousand legal taxis. Thanks to the support of the Moscow Government and the proper work of taxi companies, the market has fully legalized, and today 152 thousand cars in Moscow and the Moscow region are employed in it.

 

Back in 2015, the average cost of a taxi ride was 650 rubles (=10,3$). Since then, it has been decreasing year by year, and now it is 50% less than in 2015. In the first quarter of 2022, a taxi ride costs an average of 433 rubles (=6,8$).

According to the Moscow Department of Transport, a new large transport hub Tekstilschiki will appear in Moscow. It will fully operate in 2023.

 

 

The hub will combine two lines of the Moscow Metro (Line 7 and the Big Circle Line), Line 2 of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) and 23 routes of the surface transport. Moreover, the hub will make rides more convenient for over 100 thousand passengers.

 

Thanks to the new hub, the Tekstilschiki station (Line 7) will become freer by 20%, and the southern areas of Line 7 and Line 10 will be unloaded by 20% as well.

According to the Moscow Department of Transport, a unified ticketing system based on the Moscow transport Troika card is implemented on public transport in 19 Russian regions. It was also announced that 5.5 million passengers in Russian regions used the Troika card for the fare payment since the beginning of the year.

 

 

Digitalization of public transport in the regions is the task set by the President of the Russian Federation. Today, SberTroika-based ticketing system is already in operation in 19 cities and regions of the country.

 

We see that passengers appreciate its convenience: over the four months of 2022, 5.5 million trips were paid with the Troika card. We are ready to continue sharing the technology with progressive regions where the leadership cares about the convenience of the residents and understands the importance of implementing modern solutions for the transport development, - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
